About AZMUN's Mission to ECOSOC

The Ayoniz Model United Nations (AZMUN) Foundation is a youth-led initiative committed to empowering young minds through diplomacy, international cooperation, and civic engagement.

Our mission is to cultivate platforms where students and youth from diverse backgrounds can engage with global challenges, develop informed policy perspectives, and propose actionable solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As part of our long-term vision, AZMUN is actively working toward securing consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Through this status, we aim to:

Represent youth voices at the UN level on global education, peace, and civic engagement
Submit youth-authored position papers and policy recommendations to UN forums
Participate in UN briefings, conferences, and commissions focused on youth and development
Launch capacity-building programs and global dialogues that promote inclusive, youth-centric policymaking

Our approach is grounded in transparency, inclusive participation, and meaningful youth leadership — ensuring that our work reflects the concerns, creativity, and contributions of the next generation.

AZMUN 1.0

April 2025

AZMUN 1.0

AZMUN 1.0, held on 3rd May 2025, marked the AZMUN Foundation’s debut international Model United Nations conference. With participation from over 50 delegates across 12 countries, the event featured the UNGA, ICJ, and Historic Crisis Committee. It fostered global youth dialogue and diplomatic engagement. The success of AZMUN 1.0 laid the groundwork for future programs including youth research initiatives, wider outreach, and pursuit of UN ECOSOC consultative status. The Executive Directorate credited the organizing team and delegates for bringing the vision to life.
